Rajasthan Festival Tour Package

Pushkar Fair, Ajmer ( November )Pushkar Fairs & Festivals in Rajasthan - India
One of the most important and well known camel fairs of Rajasthan, it registers the largest participation of among all the Rajasthan fairs and festivals. Pushkar is an important pilgrimage as well as the venue of a mammoth cattle fair. There are bazaars, auctions, music and sports that add charm and glory too the event. The most intrinsic, beautiful and exquisite handcrafted items of Rajasthan that are sure catch your imagination.. The festival is beautifully organized and a very visitor friendly atmosphere is maintained.

In the month of Kartik each year, a large number of camels meander their way across the golden sands of the Thar desert of Rajasthan. They throng at Pushkar for the week-long fair devoted to them. Their masters astride them, they flick the sand at every step with casuals' ease. Many cows and sheep also come to the animal fair. Completing Thousands of men, women and children, accompany their beasts and add glitter to the otherwise empty piece of land.

One can witness the big turbans of the native males arriving here for trading their animals or to set up the stalls to serve to the booming captive market. A visitor can also see the loud hues of the pleated ghagaras of typical Rajasthani women, bejeweled from head to toe- adding charm and zest to the festive occasion.
